New idling control by-law
The maximum idling time will be three minutes per hour. When it is colder than zero degrees Celsius or warmer than 27 degrees Celsius, the maximum idling time will be 10 minutes per hour.

National Seniors Day 2024

As part of the fall Wake Up! program, firefighters from Ottawa Fire Services will visit homes across the city next week to ensure smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are present and working.

Older Adult Plan consultation
The City of Ottawa is developing a new older adult plan. City staff want to consult with residents and community agencies to set priorities and structure needed to help implement the plan.
Name the plow!
The City of Ottawa wants you to name a city snowplow! Between now and 30 September, children and youth aged 16 and under may submit name ideas for our plows.

Outdoor pool end-of-season dog swim!
On Labour Day, Monday 2 September, two nearby outdoor pools will welcome four-legged residents for an hour of free fun right after they close for the season, but just before staff begin draining them!
