As the coldest season of the year begins, the City is already working to keep our roads and sidewalks clear and our communities safe throughout the winter months.
News from the Library
A free service offering monthly delivery of Ottawa Public Library materials directly to your door. Ottawa residents who are unable to visit the Library regularly due to age, illness or disability. A minimum commitment of three months is required to sign up for the service.
November is Radon Action Month
Ottawa residents are encouraged to test their homes for radon gas this winter to ensure levels do not exceed Health Canada guidelines. Long-term exposure to high levels of this harmful gas can cause lung cancer, and smoking can increase this risk by tenfold or more.
