A new model for City of Ottawa recreation admissions and membership passes is in the works and we want to hear your thoughts! The new model groups activities into three cost categories and would apply to drop-in admissions, multi-visit passes and membership passes.
Daytime winter weather parking ban in effect
Due to weather conditions, a daytime winter weather parking ban will be in effect on Wednesday, January 10 between 10 am and 7 pm across Ottawa.

Complete your Vacant Unit Tax declaration before March 21
It’s time for Ottawa homeowners to complete their online Vacant Unit Tax (VUT) forms for each residential property they own before the March 21 deadline. A $250 late fee will be applied to all declarations filed after the deadline.

Holiday season schedule changes
The City of Ottawa would like to remind residents of the following schedule changes for the holiday season between Sunday, December 24 and Monday, January 1. Garbage collection will be delayed by one day.
Play Free is back with more in 2024
Beginning Monday, January 1, children and youth of Ottawa can participate in the 2024 lineup of Play Free activities. These free drop-in activities include gym sports, swimming, museums and skating.
