Update: Holly Acres Road at Highway 417 - Long-Term Ramp Closure and Lane Reductions
The ramp is anticipated to open on the evening of Friday, November 7. This ramp must be opened before the westbound on-ramp from southbound Richmond Road closes on the Sunday, November 9 until December 12.
As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists travelling on Holly Acres Road or accessing westbound Highway 417 from Holly Acres Road, should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.
What
Long-term closure of the westbound Highway 417 on-ramp from Holly Acres Road. Holly Acres Road will also be reduced to one lane in both directions. A detour will be in effect.
When
Tuesday, September 2 at 5 a.m. until Monday, December 1.

Detour
Motorists wishing to access westbound Highway 417 from Holly Acres Road will continue northbound on Holly Acres Road until reaching Carling Avenue. They will then turn right onto Carling Avenue and continue east until reaching Bayshore Drive. They will turn right onto Bayshore Drive and continue south until reaching the westbound Highway 417 on-ramp.
Anticipated Impacts
Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.
Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.
