Labour Day schedule changes
The City of Ottawa would like to remind residents of the following schedule changes and City service impacts for the Labour Day holiday on Monday, September 1.
Client Service Centres
The City’s 3-1-1 Contact Centre will be open for urgent matters only. Please visit ottawa.ca/311↗ for more information.
All ServiceOttawa’s Client Services Centres, Provincial Offences and APS counters and phone lines will be closed. Counters are located at Ottawa City Hall (110 Laurier Avenue West), Ben Franklin Place (101 Centrepointe Drive), Orléans (255 Centrum Boulevard) and the City’s Provincial Offences Court at 100 Constellation Drive.
The Business Licensing Centre at 735 Industrial Avenue will be closed.
The City of Ottawa Spay and Neuter Clinic at 26 Concourse Gate will be closed.
The City of Ottawa Archives and Gallery 112 at the James Bartleman Centre will be closed from Saturday, August 30 to Monday, September 1.
The Barbara Ann Scott Gallery, City Hall Art Gallery and Karsh-Masson Gallery at City Hall will be closed on Monday, September 1.
Green bin, recycling and garbage collection
There will be no curbside green bin↗, recycling↗, garbage↗ or bulky item collection on Monday, September 1. Pick up will take place on Tuesday, September 2. In addition, the collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
Residents can sign up to receive collection reminders and service alerts by email or phone call at ottawa.ca/CollectionCalendar↗.
Multi-residential garbage containers will be collected on the regular scheduled day. Collections of multi-residential recycling containers, bulky items and green bins will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
The Trail Waste Facility Landfill↗ will be open on Monday, September 1 from 9 am to 5 pm.
Parking
All City parking regulations apply.
Transit Services
OC Transpo bus and train service will run on a Sunday schedule.
O-Train Line 1 will run from 8 am to 11 pm.
O-Train Lines 2 and 4 will run from 7:30 am to 11:30 pm.
Rural Shopper Route 301 will not run.
Special weekend service to summer destinations will run throughout the weekend and on Monday, September 1, with service to:
The Canada Aviation and Space Museum on Route 125.
Petrie Island on Route 139.
The Canada Agriculture and Food Museum on Route 8.

On Labour Day and every Saturday, Sunday and statutory holiday, take advantage of the 2-for-1 DayPass, where two customers, 11 years of age or older, can ride all day for $12.00. Purchase the 2-for-1 DayPass at any ticket machine or from your bus operator. Kids 10 and under can ride for free every day on OC Transpo buses, the O-Train and Para Transpo.
The Rideau Centre OC Transpo Customer Service Centre will be open on Monday, September 1 from 10 am to 6 pm.
The OC Transpo Lost and Found at St-Laurent Station will be closed. Customers can submit an inquiry about a lost item at octranspo.com/lostandfound↗.
The Transit Information line at 613-560-5000 will be open 9 am to 5 pm.
Para Transpo:
Regular bookings or recurring trips for Monday, September 1 are automatically cancelled. Customers can book trips for Labour Day starting Monday, August 25 by calling 613-560-5000 or using My Para Transpo.
The reservations line and My Para Transpo will be open from 7 am to 5 pm for booking trips.
To get trip details and cancel a trip, the information and cancellation phone line will be open from 6 am to 12:30 am, and the text 57272 service (standard rates apply) will be open from 6 am to 9 pm.
You can also get trip details and cancel trips anytime, 24/7, through the automated phone system or My Para Transpo↗.
The Taxi Coupon line will be closed.

Recreation and cultural services
Most recreation complexes and some stand-alone indoor pools are open and operating on a modified schedule. Smaller community centres and arenas are closed. Please check the facility pages↗ on ottawa.ca for details.
Some outdoor pools will be open with lifeguards on duty. Splash pads will be open. Wading Pools are closed for the season. Hours, details and locations are available at Outdoor swim and splash↗.
Arts Court, Nepean Creative Arts Centre, Nepean Visual Arts Centre, City-operated museums, Meridian Theatres @ Centrepointe, Ben Franklin Place, and Shenkman Arts Centre will be closed to the public.
Ottawa Public Health
The Site program↗ office and supervised consumption services at 179 Clarence Street will be closed. The Site mobile van will operate from 5 pm to 11:30 pm.
