Ben Franklin Place – phased reopening starting Monday, July 13

Recovery efforts are progressing at Ben Franklin Place in response to the recent significant weather event and associated water damages to the facility.

The impacted areas include the Meridian Theatres at Centrepointe main stage, lower studio and lobby, and various spaces adjacent to the loading dock. The lower level of the Nepean Centrepointe branch of the Ottawa Public Library has been impacted, and the library building systems remain under assessment.

The main administrative tower of the facility was not impacted, and the building systems have been restored to permit the reopening of unaffected areas of the building.

Effective Monday, July 13 at 8am, staff and the public will have access to the main atrium and associated meeting rooms, the chambers and the administrative tower (floors 1-4). Please note, only one elevator is currently functional, as the elevator servicing the lower level is out of service.

Meridian Theatre and the Nepean Centrepointe branch of the Ottawa Public Library will remain closed for continued recovery and restoration efforts, and all sections of the lower level of the building remain restricted.
