Algonquin College and Ottawa Public Health are hosting a talk on October 18 about housing and healthcare. This English-only hybrid event is part of a series where prominent leaders from health and wellness fields discuss changes in our healthcare system.
The talk will be led by Algonquin College president, Claude Brule.
Speakers include:
Mark MacAulay, President and CEO at Ottawa Salus
Kelli Tonner, Executive Director of the Southeast Ottawa Community Health Centre
Tim Aubry, Professor from the University of Ottawa.
Ottawa is facing problems with homelessness and mental health. Many people don’t have stable housing or the support they need for mental health and substance use. By working together to provide affordable housing with health and social services, we can help people live better lives, improve their health, and reduce the need for hospitals and shelters.
Register to attend either in person or join through Zoom. Hoping to see many of you!
