When seconds count, firefighters need fast, unobstructed access to fire hydrants. By clearing snow from around fire hydrants you help first responders work quickly to protect you, your family and your community. 

Starting Monday, March 30, your waste collection day may change due to the City’s new curbside collection contract. All your waste including garbage, organics, leaf and yard waste, and recycling will still be picked up on the same day but about half of Ottawa households will have a new collection day. 

Teens! This is for you! If you are between the ages of  13–18, share ideas and feedback on library spaces, programs, collections, inclusion, communication, and future vision to help shape better youth services. Snacks and beverages will be provided and you will receive 1 hour of volunteering.

Residents are reminded the deadline for interim property tax payments and Vacant Unit Tax (VUT) declarations is just one month away – Thursday, March 19.
