Skateboard and Roller Sports Strategy
The City of Ottawa is updating its 2012 Interim Skateboard Strategy, and we want to hear from you! Ottawa’s first skateboard park opened in 1987, and today we operate 25 across the city. As skateboarding and roller sports continue to grow in popularity, we’re planning for the next generation of skateboard parks.
Canada Army Run: Traffic impacts
The 18th annual Canada Army Run will have participants running, walking and rolling through Ottawa’s downtown core on Sunday, September 21. Road users should plan ahead for additional travel time on their trip or select alternate routes. Parking restrictions will also be in effect along the entire route.
Airport Parkway road resurfacing: Overnight ramp closures at Hunt Club Road
All on- and off-ramps at Hunt Club Road and Airport Parkway will be temporarily closed on rotation overnight between 8 pm and 5:30 am until Monday, September 29. The work is taking place overnight to minimize traffic disruptions. Detours will be in place.
Audit Committee receives development application review audit
The audit highlighted that timelines have been getting longer for subdivision and site plan control applications, especially during the post-approval stage when legal agreements are being finalized. The audit makes seven recommendations for improvements.
