Ottawa Public Health alerting residents of measles exposure locations
Ottawa Public Health is investigating the City’s fifth confirmed case of measles in 2025. This public service announcement is for those who we are unable to reach directly or for whom no contact information is available. At this time, the risk to the general population remains low.
First mosquitoes test positive for West Nile virus this season
Routine mosquito trapping and testing for West Nile virus have confirmed a positive mosquito pool in Ottawa. This is the first confirmation of WNV in Ottawa this year since OPH began routine seasonal monitoring on June 8.
