Your guide to recognizing Remembrance Day in Ottawa

The National Remembrance Day Ceremony will take place at the National War Memorial on Monday, November 11. The ceremony will begin at approximately 10:30 am. You can attend in person or watch the ceremony live on the Royal Canadian Legion’s Facebook page and local and national news broadcasts.

Yellow bags for curbside properties now available for purchase

Starting Monday, November 4, any curbside garbage set out above the three-item garbage limit must be placed in a City of Ottawa yellow bag. Yellow bags are sold in packages of four for $17.60, and there is no limit to the number of yellow bags that can be purchased and set out on garbage day.
