National Indigenous History Month is commemorated each June to recognize and honour the history, heritage and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples in Canada, and all of their contributions - past and present. In celebration of this month, the Library has organized several events and programs featuring Indigenous dance, music, movies, and stories. We encourage you to take time to honour and learn about the many languages, cultures and immeasurable contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. Miigwetch!

👓 Teen Staycation 👓
Registration is now open for Teen Staycation programs! OPL invites teens ages 13 to 18 to take part in Staycation programs anytime this summer, whether they are having a true staycation at home, going out of town, or looking for something fun to do between their shifts at work.
For seven weeks this summer starting July 3, teens ages 13 to 18 can participate in a variety of activities, some in-person, others live online. Join us for makeup tutorials, digital storytelling, learn how to budget, prepare for post-secondary schooling, play D&D, and more!
Introduction to Arduino: Thursday, August 17 at 2:00 pm at the Ruth E Dickinson Branch - Join uOttawa Maker Mobile for this interactive workshop! You will get a chance to learn about microcontrollers by programming a virtual Arduino board and controlling its various inputs and outputs (lights). Registration required.
