  • 🏦 Various dates in April. Free Income Tax Clinic↗
    Do you need help with your tax return? If you have a modest income and a simple tax situation, trained volunteers may be able to complete your tax return for you for free. Appointments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis for those who meet the criteria. Check here↗ to see the dates the clinic is offered and if you meet the eligibility criteria

  • 🍁 For all of April OPL will be offering free, unlimited access to Valid by Chris Bergeron↗ in both eBook and audiobook format as part of One eRead Canada↗. Clients can read or listen through the library website, Libby, Cantook, and CloudLibrary — with no holds or waitlists all month long! Set in a disturbingly transfigured Montreal in the year 2050, Valid is an ambitious work that is as much philosophical as it is confessional.

  • 🤖 Saturday, May 3 from 10am-noon - Robo Revolution↗
    Learn about advances in robotics, smart mobility, and other next-gen technology from researchers, industry specialists, and local students. Drop-in. For all ages! 

  • There is always lots to do at the library on a PD Day. On Friday April 25

    🔨 10am-noon - Join the Barrhaven Builder’s Club↗ as we will build, construct, engineer, and design using Lego, Meccano, K'nex, VEX Robotics, and more. Drop-in. Open to ages 5+. 

    🎨 2-4 pm - Get Crafty!↗ Come craft at the library. We have all the supplies you need to satisfy your creativity! Drop-in, for ages 4+. 

  • 🐻 Thursday, April 24 at 6:30pm - Pajama Storytime
    An evening storytime for children of all ages with their adult or guardian. Feel free to wear your pajamas (or not), bring along your favourite stuffie, blanket and your adult for stories, rhymes, and quiet songs. Ages 4+. Drop-in program.

    Library Lecture Series: Celebrating Nancy Drew↗. Did you know that 2025 marks the 95th anniversary of the publication of the first Nancy Drew novel? We will be joined by local author, Nancy Lauzon, for a discussion on all things Nancy Drew, from the origins of the series to Nancy Drew Sleuth conventions!
