New Date: Highway 417 WB ramp at Pinecrest overnight closures - Sept. 25 - Oct. 1

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists wishing to access westbound Highway 417 from Pinecrest Road should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities. Detours will be in effect.

What:     
Overnight closure of Highway 417 westbound on-ramps at Pinecrest Road.

When: 

  • Highway 417 westbound on-ramp from northbound Greenbank Road: Thursday, September 25, Friday, September 26 and Monday, September 29 to Wednesday, October 1, nightly from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.

  • Highway 417 westbound on-ramp from southbound Pinecrest Road: Thursday, September 25, Friday, September 26, Monday, September 29 and Wednesday, October 1, nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Asphalt milling and paving.

Highway 417 at Pinecrest Road

Motorists wishing to access westbound Highway 417 from northbound Greenbank Road will continue north on Pinecrest Road until reaching Richmond Road. They will turn left onto Richmond Road and continue southbound until reaching the Highway 417 westbound on-ramp.

Motorists wishing to access westbound Highway 417 from southbound Pinecrest Road will continue south on Greenbank Road until reaching Baseline Road. They will turn left onto Baseline Road and continue eastbound until reaching Woodroffe Avenue. They will then turn left and continue northbound on Woodroffe Avenue until reaching the westbound Highway 417 on-ramp

Anticipated Impacts

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.

The safety of the public and workers is paramount, and we thank you for your patience during construction.
