Highway 417 at Greenbank Road - Overnight ramp closures February 18-19, 23-27

As part of the Stage 2 O-Train Light Rail Transit (LRT) project, motorists wishing to access westbound Highway 417 from Greenbank Road should anticipate impacts to traffic as crews complete necessary construction activities.

What: Overnight closure of Highway 417 westbound on-ramps from Greenbank Road.

When (DATES UPDATED!):         

  • Tuesday, February 18, Wednesday, February 19 and Sunday, February 23 from 11 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the next morning. (Highway 417 westbound on-ramp from southbound Greenbank Road)

  • Monday, February 24 to Thursday, February 27 from 11 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the next morning. (Highway 417 westbound on-ramp from northbound Greenbank Road)

Why: Snow wall construction.

Where:  Highway 417 at Greenbank Road.

The construction work outlined in this notice is subject to change. Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Anticipated impacts

Motorists should adhere to detours, traffic control signage, posted speed limits, allow for added travel time and use extra caution when moving through active construction corridors as traffic patterns change.

Pedestrians and cyclists should use extra caution and adhere to posted signage when localized detours are in-place, to ensure safety.

The safety of the public and workers is paramount, and we thank you for your patience during construction.
